Red Velvet Cookies

12-15 minutes


Ingredients:

  1. 234g or 1 ¾ cups Blossom baking flour
  2. 1 teaspoon baking powder
  3. 1½ teaspoon red food color or 1 tablespoon liquid food coloring
  4. 25g or ¼ cup cocoa powder
  5. 125g or 8 tablespoons butter or margarine
  6. 90g or ½ cup brown sugar
  7. 100g or ½ cup white sugar
  8. 1t vanilla
  9. 1 large egg
  10. 250g or 1½ cups white chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl add the white sugar, brown sugar, and butter and mix with a wooden spoon or hand mixer until well combined.
  2. Add the egg and vanilla then mix. {if using liquid food color add it at this point}.
  3. Sift in the flour, baking powder, and red food powder.
  4. Add the chocolate chips and mix until combined.
  5. Scoop spoonsful of the dough and roll into balls, place on a tray lined with parchment paper and flattened them a bit.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes at 180C.
  7. Remove them from the oven and leave them on the tray for 5-10 minutes to firm up before transferring them to a cooling rack to cool

completely.
