GLUTEN-FREE EGGLESS CHOCOLATE CAKE

40 minutes

Ingredients:

  1. 220g Blossom baking flour
  2. 300g sugar
  3. 45g cocoa powder
  4. 4g baking powder
  5. 2g baking soda
  6. ½ cup applesauce
  7. 18g oil
  8. 225g milk
  9. 2g salt

Instructions:

  1. Grease an 8” round tin and line with parchment paper.
  2. Preheat your oven to 180⁰C.
  3. Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, cocoa powder, and salt
  4. Add the sugar and mix.
  5. Make a well in the center and add the milk, applesauce, oil, and milk.
  6. Mix until well combined.
  7. Pour into the baking and bake for 40 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.

NOTE: The cake is dense.

OPTION 2

GLUTEN-FREE CHOCOLATE EGGLESS CAKE

Ingredients:

  1. 220 Blossom Baking Flour
  2. 20g cocoa powder
  3. 10g baking powder
  4. 3g baking soda
  5. 4g salt
  6. ½ tablespoon vanilla essence
  7. 180g warm water or plant-based milk.
  8. 100g oil

Instructions:

  1. Grease an 8” tin and line with parchment paper.
  2. Preheat your oven to 180⁰C.
  3. Sift flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and baking soda.
  4. Add the salt and sugar and mix.
  5. Pour in the water, vanilla, and cooking oil and combine.
  6. Pour into a greased baking tin and bake for 40minutes.

NOTE: The cake sinks a bit.
